Since 2015, she has been coordinator of the National Anti-Counterfeiting Committee (CNAC).
Responsible for the General Secretariat of the CNAC, an informal platform for the public and private sectors, under the aegis of the French Minister of Industry and chaired by a French MP, which facilitates the exchange of information, coordinates concrete actions, encourages volunteering , promises best practices and formulates new proposals with a view to improving legislative and non-legislative measures.
Kirstine leads targeted capacity building and training initiatives for law enforcement and has successfully driven INTERPOLs specialized College for more than a decade. Her core responsibilities are to manage and coordinate its global strategy & outreach and other initiatives to fight against transnational organized (IP) criminal activity.
She has extensive experience from INTERPOL. Coming from a private sector background, she has been engaged in anti-counterfeiting and illicit trade enforcement for more than fifteen years.
Kirstine has a Master’s degree in International Development Studies and Communication from Denmark and is a guest professor at the Lyon University 3 (France).
In late 2011, Hoda established her own boutique law firm Hoda Barakat Legal Consultancy
focusing on providing clients with strategic legal advice especially in IP and commercial matters.
She has worked closely with both private and public sectors and often acts as the bridge between
the two.
Today, Hoda is still seen as a leader in the field of IP and is the current President of the
International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property National Group (AIPPIUAE) in addition to her other positions:
- Board Member, Emirates Intellectual Property Association (EIPA)
- Board Member, International Trademark Association (INTA)
- Chairman, Dubai Business Group for Intellectual Property
- Panelist, WIPO Domain Name Neutrals List
In recognition of her work over the years, Hoda has been awarded several national and

Advocacy and Awareness Beyond his organizational roles, and as an IP Lawyer, Rany Sader has been actively involved in raising awareness about the economic and social about illicit trade. Through organizing and participating in conferences, workshops, and seminars, he has educated a wide audience—including businesses, policymakers, and the general public—about the importance of intellectual property rights and the risks posed by the illicit trade and counterfeit goods. His advocacy has also extended to pushing for legislative reforms that improve enforcement mechanisms across the region.
Rany's commitment to combating illicit trade is further reflected in his participation in various social campaigns aimed at reducing consumer demand for counterfeit products. By highlighting the risks these goods pose to consumer safety and the broader economy, he has helped shift public perception and encourage more responsible consumer behavior.

Through his work, Rany continues to play a crucial role in shaping a safer and more secure marketplace for consumers and businesses alike in the Arab world.
Since January 2022, Mohammad has served as the Manager of Digital Resources at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority in Dubai, where he led significant projects, including managing and developing the national domain name space, increasing the market by 15% in 2022. He also oversees the enforcement of Internet policies and the implementation of trust services and digital certificates regulations in line with international best practices.
Throughout his career, Mohammad has contributed to the development and revision of laws and policies, collaborated with stakeholders from government entities, tech companies, and law enforcement agencies to advance public policies, and fostered strategic partnerships. He has played an active role in numerous local and international committees related to Internet governance, applications regulation, and other key initiatives.
With his extensive experience, Mohammad is a trusted leader in regulatory affairs and operations management, known for improving processes, ensuring compliance, and successfully executing major projects and initiatives.
Tiago has also been a Founder and CTO and regularly lectures at different Universities. He occasionally serves in an advisory capacity, sharing his expertise with industry professionals.
Currently at Google Cloud EMEA, Tiago leads a team of technical specialists focused on Artificial Intelligence that work directly with several companies to adopt the latest AI solutions and innovations focused on their business challenges.
He is experienced in Intellectual Property Services, Data Governance, Digital Rights and Internet policy development and implementation strategies, with extensive technical and management experience in ICT.
Shaban was the first from the Middle East to serve on the International Trademark Association (INTA) board of directors 2011-2014.
Shaban served as the Chair of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group – Program committee (AMPAC) of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (Arab IGF) 2015 - 2022, served on the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) of the Global Internet Governance Forum (IGF) from 2006 until 2012. In 2004, he served on the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG) that was established by the UN Secretary General to find a workable definition of Internet Governance beside other related tasks.

Sha’ban holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the University of Jordan and finished an Executive Course from Thunderbird School of Global Management: “Advanced Global Marketing Strategies”
She has extensive experience in mediation, serving as a project manager and trainer at the Professional Mediation Center of Saint Joseph University. Nathalie has worked with UNICEF and the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) on projects focused on juvenile justice and community service laws. Additionally, she holds leadership roles in various youth organizations.
Alexis previously graduated from the Université de Nancy II with a double degree in Law and Economics and a master’s degree I in Business and Tax Law. He has been an IP consultant (trademarks and designs) and a Trademark Attorney at the EUIPO since 2018. Alexis began his career in intellectual property at Novagraaf in 2014.
Alexis is a member of the APRAM (Association of Law Practitioners for Trademarks and Models).
