9th Regional IP Crime Conference for the Middle East and North Africa

This conference was organized by EIPA and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) in cooperation with Dubai Police, Ministry of Justice, Dubai Customs, and Brand Owner’s Protection Group (BPG), Under the Theme “Learning from the Pandemic – IP Rights Enforcement & Protection Best Practices”. It emphasized the most important developments and challenges to enforcing intellectual property laws during and after the Covid-19 pandemic and highlighted the prominent role of the United Arab Emirates and modern technology Efforts’ in facilitating legal control procedures, as well as a review of best practices and global experiences in Combating organized crime related to intellectual property rights.

Gulf BPG Chairman Mr. Malek Hannouf participated as a speaker in panel 4 on “The officer of the future”.
