Gulf BPG attends a Webinar on AI in Patenting Operations: Global Insights and UAE Perspectives

Gulf BPG was pleased to attend and support the webinar “AI in Patenting Operations: Global Insights and UAE Perspectives,” organized by AIPPI UAE.

The session opened with remarks from Hoda Barakat, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Abdelrahman Almuaini, Assistant Undersecretary of the IP Sector at the Ministry of Economy, who emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its innovation framework through policy, collaboration, and emerging technologies such as AI.

The webinar explored how AI is reshaping patenting operations globally, from examination procedures and legal interpretation to data-driven analytics, while highlighting the UAE’s active role in these international discussions and its positioning as a regional innovation hub. Experts from the Japan External Trade Organization, the European Patent Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the UAE Patent Office shared insights.
